Meet the Team

Monica Draves
Founder and Director

Monica Draves is a native to the Reno/Tahoe area. Her passion for animal service has exceeded 30+ years. As a pet groomer, veterinary technician, and boarding manager for a local Humane Society she saw a real need for the ones that have no voice: Our community's homeless street dogs.

My hope is to invoke a spark of action in people, to help change a very real problem. Between politics, the economy, and technology we live in a broken, disconnected world, which leaves many unfortunate people and their pets living in the streets. While there are some resources for the homeless human, there are very little for their pets. Most shelters refuse animals, in need of a meal and a nights, rest, which leaves them, along with their human companions, to sleep out in the elements. There is a great need to provide food, clothing and veterinary care for these pets, in partnering with the community, donations, and volunteers , we can make a difference.
